Your body’s collagen production starts to dwindle in your mid-to-late 20s and early 30s. From there, you start losing 1% of your collagen each following year. By 40, collagen drops dramatically.

With age and this decrease in collagen, our skin begins to lose elasticity, and we notice the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. Deepened smile lines, marionette lines between the chin & jowls as well as a drooping forehead and sagging neck…all are telltale signs of aging.

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a non-surgical advanced needling treatment. Using radiofrequency, a Morpheus8 treatment stimulates collagen production to tighten and smooth wrinkles on the face and body.

Who is a Candidate for Morpheus8?

Candidates for morpheus8 in Mckinney include women and men ages 30 - 55 who have mild to moderate aesthetic concerns, such as scars, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. Those with active acne could experience adverse reactions to Morpheus8 due to bacteria spreading from microneedle injections into the skin. Women who are pregnant and breastfeeding may not qualify for the treatment and are encouraged to undergo Morpheus8 at a later time.

Is Morpheus8 Painful?

Before beginning the treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin. After this is cleansed off, you’re ready to begin.  The Morpheus8 wand is used applied over the target area(s).  With the numbing cream, this should be relatively painless.  Immediately following your treatment, your skin will be slightly red but this will dissipate over the next 24 hours.

How Many Treatments Does it Take to See Results?

To reap the full benefits of the Morpheus8 treatment in Frisco, we recommend 3-6 treatment sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. For an ongoing renewal routine, you can repeat Morpheus8 treatments every 1-3 years to enjoy continued and lasting results.

Important Aftercare Steps for Morpheus8

To care for your skin post-treatment, Wash the treated area with a mild cleanser and lukewarm water. Do this at least two to three hours after the procedure or before going to bed. Avoid scrubbing your face, exfoliating, or picking your skin. Pat the skin dry with a clean towel.

Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for at least 24 hours. No tanning beds. Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment. No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.

Refrain from applying makeup to the treatment area for at least the first 24 hours afterward. Monitoring the skin for oozing, bleeding, and warmness is important. Patients may resume wearing makeup, skin creams, and other cosmetics within two to three days as long as those symptoms don’t appear or have resolved.

While ordinary microneedling can only target skin to a depth of 1.5 to 2 millimeters, the Morpheus8 is tailored to each patient's needs, and the depths can be adjusted anywhere from 0.5mm to as deep as 8mm. This allows fat contouring at deeper depths while superficial depths target skin rejuvenation.

Morpheus8 FAQ

How many treatment sessions will be needed?

The number of Morpheus8 treatment sessions required will vary from case to case. The exact number will depend on the client’s cosmetic goals and the issues they are having treated. Generally, two to six treatment sessions will be required for optimal results.

How long do the benefits of Morpheus8 last?

It takes 28 days to form new collagen. During those first 28 days, your skin will be reorganizing and remodeling deep into the subcutaneous layer of tissue. So, sit back and wait for the transformation! After just one Morpheus8 treatment, you can expect to continue to see changes in your skin for up to 3 months. Once the remodeling has occurred, you may opt for a 2nd treatment to further your improvement.

Where on the body do you use Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 micro needling with radio frequency is most often used on the face and neck to help with deep wrinkles and lines, jowls, double chin, turkey neck, thick neck, undereye bags, smoker’s wrinkles, crow’s feet, large pores, crepey skin and forehead wrinkles. It is also used on other areas of the body, such as the stomach, legs, and arms to decrease crepey skin, tighten skin and decrease fat. It is also used for hyperhidrosis (sweating under the arms).
